Certification knowledge is important. But many aspiring engineers still lack confidence around physical infrastructure, production procedures, real equipment, documentation, deployment and failure scenarios.

  • Leave able to explain practical engineering activities confidently in interviews.

For five days, you don't just study networking. You work like a network engineering team.

Each day moves from physical infrastructure to installation, deployment, production operations and advanced maintenance.

01 Physical Infrastructure

Know Your Network Environment

Before you configure it, you need to recognize it.

Identify copper and fiber cabling, single-mode vs multimode fiber, LC/SC/ST connectors, SR/LR/SX/LX optics, router and switch families, firewalls, WLCs, APs, MDF/IDF patching, and physical interface numbering.

02 Installation & Tools

Rack, Stack, Install & Document

Build the working environment of a real engineer.

Rack switches in an IDF/data-center environment, install equipment in a remote-office closet, work with switch stacks, install an AP, configure your engineer workstation, and learn the operational documents used by infrastructure teams.

03 Remote Office Project

Design a New Remote Office

The company is opening a new site. You're the Network Engineer.

Gather business and technical requirements, determine users, wired/wireless needs, equipment, bandwidth and growth, create an IP plan, build router/switch configuration templates, console into hardware and prepare the site for deployment.

04 Production Operations

Work on a Live-Style Production Network

On production networks, every change has impact.

Activate and assign ports, trace devices, install a new switch into an existing IDF, replace switches with newer models, recover from failed equipment with or without a usable backup, discuss line-card installation and authorized password recovery.

Stack Operations, IOS Maintenance & Career Readiness

Operate, maintain, recover - then communicate your experience.

Manage switch-stack operations, add or replace members, understand election/priority behavior, plan software upgrades and downgrades, validate after maintenance, and translate the week's experience into stronger LinkedIn positioning and job-search conversations.

Final Capstone Incident

Can you troubleshoot when nobody tells you the answer?

The week concludes with a production-style incident. Your team receives the symptoms and business impact - not a step-by-step lab guide. You investigate, identify root cause, implement an authorized fix, validate service, document the work and present the outcome.

Remote Office Connectivity Failure

Users can reach some local services but cannot consistently access corporate resources following a network change.


Your task: Investigate - communicate - troubleshoot - restore - validate - document - close.

Recommended prerequisite

Participants should already understand basic TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, switching and routing. CCNA-level training or equivalent knowledge is recommended. A certification is not required.

Limited Annual Schedule

Only four Experience Weeks each year.

The small-cohort structure protects hands-on equipment access, instructor interaction and team-based practical work.
